Like animals, animal-like protists are heterotrophs, and most of them are able to move from place to place to obtain food.

Explanation;Protists are eukaryotes that cannot be classified as animals, plants or fungi. All protist live in moist surroundings.Animal-like protists are protozoans with Psuedopods, with Cilia, with Flagella, and Protozoans that are Parasites. Protozoa are single-celled eukaryotes that share some traits with animals. Like animals, they can move, and they are heterotrophs.Plant-like Protists include; Diatoms, Dinoflagellates, Euglenoids, Red Algae, Green Algae, and Brown Algae. Funguslike protists on the other hand are heterotrophs, have cell walls, and use spores to reproduce. They include; slime Molds, Water Molds and Downy Mildews.

Plantlike protists contain chlorophyll and make their own food using photosynthesis. Animal-like and Funguslike can't make their own food. The Animal-like capture other organisms for food and the Funguslike absorb food from their surroundings. Plantlike protist have cell walls.
