                                  the structure of plasma membrane is very complicated. fluid mosiac model represented by singer and necolson according to them; there is a lipid bilayer in which proteins molecules are embeded in a fluid moasic manner.  when glucose molecules are attached with lipid it forms glycolipds and  when it attached with protiens it forms glycoproteins.

the element that provides strength to the exoskeletons of clams and oysters is phosphorus. this is so because calcium carbonate is the main component in the shells.
