How has human use of trees had both a positive and negative impact?

While the massive deforestation has led to many building opportunities and a large expansion of civilization, it greatly damages the environment and the plants that provide oxygen for us. This can have a negative impact on the air we breath in the future. It also can push many animals to extinction, because a great majority of wildlife need trees to survive and make their homes in.
