Describe the process of the fertilization

The sperm plasma, then fuses with the egg's plasma membrane, the sperm head disconnects from its flagellum and the egg travels down the Fallopian tube to reach the uterus. In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a process by which egg cells are fertilized by sperm outside the womb, in vitro.

1. A woman’s ovary releases an egg during ovulation

2. The egg travels down the Fallopian tube toward the uterus

3. A man ejaculates sperm into a woman’s vagina

3. Sperm reaches the egg

4. Genetic material from a sperm and the egg fuse

5. The fertilized egg  becomes a zygote

6. The zygote implants in the uterine wall
