Alcohol fermentation and acid fermdntation how do these two processes differ

Alcoholic fermentation allows glycolysis to continue thereby producing ATP. Also NAD+ converts into NADH. Alcohol and carbon dioxide are produced from pyruvic acid. Some common examples are:

1. Production of bread by using yeast, which raises the bread as of alcoholic fermentation by producing carbon dioxide.

while in the case of Lactic Acid fermentation, Lactic acid is produced due to the conversion of pyruvic acid though the process of Glycolysis. NADH gets reduced into NAD+ and it is the NAD+ which causes the continuation of glycolysis cycle. Thus, additional energy is produced though the generation of additional molecules of ATP.

For example- Muscle cells respire through this process after hard work.
