A. Some organisms have different reproductive success due to nongenetic  traits.

Differential reproduction is the phenomena in which some members of the population reproduce more offsprings than the other. This is due to differences in the phenotypic characteristics present in some members not in others which favors their survival and gives them chance to reproduce. This can be explained by theory of evolution by natural selection. This includes the example of color variation in beetle populations. Brown beetles were  detected and identified by crow population but green beetles were not easily detected by them as living on grass similar to their own color. Therefore, green color being a phenotypic nongenetic character gave a survival advantage to them over brown beetles and hence such beetles will also get the chance to reproduce and grow in number.
