How does studying science you be a better member of society

Depending on what you want out of life.  Life in its self is full of choices and science is a theory among most things and knowing these theory and proven facts can make you look like a smarter person and give off the image to other “dang he is a great person” so one could say.

for  example, forests have higher evapotranspiration than other ecosystems,  such  as grasslands, because of their deeper roots and greater leaf area. thus forests have a net moistening effect on the atmosphere and become a moisture source for downwind ecosystems.
