What advantage do organisms in a good web have over those in a food chain?

Food web: more likely to survive because they have options of food if a food source diminishes or disappears

this is more of a statement than a question. is there answers to go along with this, or is it opinion based?

the answer is true when observing or determining population size, a direct observation is use, in which each organism is counted in a population or in an area. one benefit of this measure is that you get the exact population count but it will take a long time to  determine  the  size  of a  population.
