Why do women have a higher proportion of essential fat than man?

Answerwomen have essential fat deposited in the breasts, uterus,and other sex specific sites;

Women's general duties were originally to birth and raise children.  in order to properly nourish a child through pregnancy, a higher percentage of body fat is essential.  however, men's main duties were originally to hunt and gather, hich requires more muscle than fat.
