The two main types of plants are vascular and nonvascular. Vascular plants are also knonwn as tracheophyte. They have vascular tissues -- xylem and phloem. Plants that are seed-bearing are vascular plants. On the other hand, nonvascular plants, or also known as bryophytes, are small, simple plants without a vascular system.
