What are the long term effects of oil spillage?

Oil spillage can effect many things from economy to wildlife in the ocean or on land. But the long term effects of it are usually massive losses of certain species depending on where the spill is. Dead plant life such as coral or and type of plant. It is extremely toxic and can contaminate the area for 2-10 years. This could also effect the economy because of the thousands of dollars the boat or structure is carrying is all lost and the buyer and seller looses a lot of money. Also the workers who help clean it can face tremendous health issues afterwords because of how toxic it is and that can last for a long long time.
