Which term describes health approaches that are outside the realm of traditional western medicine but are used in conjunction with conventional treatments?

I believe the answer for the above question is Complementary.  Complementary treatments are treatments that are used along with convectional medicine. Examples of complementary medicine include; alternative health approaches such as traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, and naturopathy, mind and body practices such as massage therapy, and tai chi, natural products such as herbs, probiotics and dietary supplements. 

I’m not really sure
