The French culture influence Rococo Art.  It is very ornate and luxurious.  The French Revolution turn the Rococo movement into the Neoclassical movement.  The people were turning to a more serious type of art form.  The Enlightenment encouraged criticism of the corruption of the monarchy, at this point King Louis XVI, and the aristocracy.
