Often times when you are interviewing, the interviewee may make a statement about something that seems like it might be interesting to delve into, but has nothing
to do with your story. Make sure that every question you ask is clearly relevant to
your predetermined and stated purpose. Do not ask for information you do not need
and will not use. If there is any possibility that an interviewee will perceive a question
to be irrelevant, explain its relationship to your purpose and why it is important.
