Why do you think it was so important for artists to create such realistic interpretations? how do you think the role of the artist has changed if any?

answer 1: artists need to create a realistic interpretation so that people in general can relate to the artwork. for a common people, an artist's impression gets increased only if he can create something which would look realistic. an abstract is difficult for a common people to understand whereas if a person can draw a girl with simple pencil sketch and if that looks like a real figure then the latter will be praised more than the former.

answer 2: artists now work for others to understand. the creative freedom of an artist is almost lost. seldom you can find an artist who have created something of their own and has got praised. now, artists create according to the demand in the market so that those arts or creative get enough recognition for his livelihood.
