To understand the development of beatbox it will be referred to in two periods; the 'Old School' that ends with the emergence of battles and the dissemination of beatbox material on the internet, and the current 'New School' which ignites an increased attention to technical abilities. However much I wish it could be, this is not a pedagogy of beatbox technique, nor a sound by sound representation of beatbox's musical evolution. This would take huge and delicate research.
