The product appears on the screen with different elements of people, space ships, peanuts, etc., and this makes the candy more appealing.

Watching the Whatchamacallit commercial without sound makes it dull and unappealing. The audience will still be able to recognize that it’s a commercial for the product because the product and logo are present in the commercial.
