Explanation:

In art, the proportion is the relationship between dimensions of various objects, their heights, widths, and depths. By taking the proportion into the account we alter if the objects look realistic, abstracted, funny, etc.

If the artist wants to paint a realistic piece, the proportions have to be right, all lifelike, and truthful to one another. They have to be in good accordance with the other objects on the art piece.

If proportions are altered, depending on the style and the idea, the art piece can be funny or abstract. For example, caricatures are often done by changing the proportions of the characters, enlarging some pieces of the body, and shrinking the others.
