Please explain the similarities between a violin, viola, cello, and a bass. Thank you!

All of these are stringed instruments!

Violas, cellos, and violins are tuned in 5ths, while a bass is tuned in 4ths.

The positions of a viola and a violin are placed underneath the chin, while you play a bass and cello can both be played sitting down, using the pin to balance them both.

All of them have metal strings in common, as well.
