You really need to be in the mood and have nothing on your mind try listening to some slowed or lofi music you will get into the mood and sink into what you are doing don't let nothing come to mind but just ideas on what you want on your masterpiece your creating if it is not going well don't give up and quit you need to take deep breaths it would calm your heart down and make sure you are in a comfortable place quiet or maybe you need someone to comfort you when you are drawing or painting .

artists need to create a realistic interpretation so that people in general can relate to the artwork. for a common people, an artist's impression gets increased only if he can create something which would look realistic. an abstract is difficult for a common people to understand whereas if a person can draw a girl with simple pencil sketch and if that looks like a real figure then the latter will be praised more than the former.
