Georgia O'Keeffe is most notable for her nature-themed paintings of many flowers and plants, but depicting them close-up and in wild, uncanny colors that still mange to soothe the viewer. She started her career by mailing her drawings to a nearby art dealer who loved them so much they decided to invite her to New York. After relocating to new mexico, she fell in love with the desert all around her, which inspired art that some would call wild-west themed. She is an important part of natural/environmental art and art history all the same.
