Truth - as interpreted from external or internal experiences? You can be either truthful to yourself, or to your chosen environment. Some photographers (nature, science, events) shoot photos to capture the physical truths. At the same time some other photographers do more abstract work to present personal truths. The medium of photography can offer either direction. Many also choose to use it to emphasis the grey area of truth and fiction with the use of various tools, traditionally or digitally. In turns, the process could help an individual define and re-define what truth there is for him/her self.

In extension, some photographers might use their refined method to explain other people's truths as evidenced in story telling type photography (documentary, journalism, etc.) Photography is like another language that you can use to help communicate an idea, a statement, a truth.
