2. compare the paintings in the altamira cave and the lascaux cave. how are they different or similar

Similitudes:

Both caves have paintings of animals.  

Both use different colors to paint the animals.

Differences:  

The bison is the primary animal painted in the Altamira caves. While in Lascaux the paintings show: bison, deer, horses, and cattle – all running across the walls.

In Altamira caves there are at least 16 bison grouped in the center of the cave with 2 boars and 1 deer. In Lascaux the animals are dispersed in various places of the cave.

Altamira cave and the Lascaux cave have some of the similarities and dissimilarity of the paintings

Explanation:

In both the cave, paintings are of animals and that of bison which was the good source for their food on that time.

The same colour was also used on both the cave which is indicating the primary color of that time.

Altamira cave was discovered in the year 1868

lascaux cave

Was discovered in the year 1940.

Each and every animal were painted in scattered manner
