Because most artists loved the way that their men or women that they were to paint/sculpture just the way that they had when they sat and posed and they thought that it looked more i guess

Ididn't get that much information but i did get that they got the assembly line idea from henry ford and they used it to make records!

Ithink it is more of an artistic statement, because clothing featured in these photographs and magazines is so extravagant that most people would not be even tempted to wear it, let along purchase it.
