Read the information and watch the video, then answer the questions below.

1. Explain the political significance of the Census to power in congress. (Congress is a branch of our federal government that passes laws by voting. They are called the House of Representatives and the Senate).

2. Describe the benefits to local communities of actively participating in the census, and describe the consequences of refusing to participate in the Census (refusing to be counted).
