A superpower is usually referred to as those states which, by virtue of great economic, political and military strength, have the opportunity to exert pressure on international politics, so that other nations should consider their views before making a diplomatic or military decision. They have the ability to intervene militarily almost anywhere and also have a certain cultural power, usually in the form of economic investment in less developed parts of the world. There is usually agreed that the United States, China, and to a lesser extent Russia are superpowers nowadays. The truth is that, to a greater or lesser extent, all these nations have based their power on imperialism, be it military as well as economic or cultural, that is, through pressure on less powerful nations to meet their objectives. In my case, if I were president, I would seek growth and political and economic expansion through geopolitical issues related to the economy, such as free trade agreements, and not through military pressure.
