Explain the role of immigration/emigration, trade, and technology, including communication and transportation systems, in the process of globalization.

Well first off, I am sorry if this is too vague but the question is kind of broad as well.

Immigration/emigration or basically the movement of people is critical in globalization because this is how ideas and information was passed from culture to culture, through word of mouth and physical interaction. Large masses of people moving from one place to another helps different societies better understand each other and how they work. The understanding of different culture lends to better trade which helps in different societies being able to see the needs of other societies and may be better equipped to manufacture goods and sell or barter with them creating economic connections between countries and cultures. Technology boosted globalization due to one of the biggest leaps, I would personally say, in the printing press. This allowed for ideas to be spread much faster and gave the segue for more efficient means of communication throughout the world. But even things as simple as roads or carriages helped with globalization as it made trade and travel much more efficient allowing ideas to flow throughout societies as well.
