Please help, I don’t understand

Producers are the organisms that store energy through photosynthesis (like the soybeans). Consumers are anything that eats other organisms for food. They can be divided into primary/secondary/tertiary consumers based on their food source. Primary consumers eat producers, secondary consumers eat primary consumers, and tertiary consumers eat secondary consumers. These can overlap if an organism has more than one food source.

In this question, the farmer eats the chicken, which eats grasshoppers, which eat soybeans. The soybeans are the producers, the grasshoppers are the primary consumers, the chickens are the secondary consumers, and the humans are tertiary consumers.
