Why are student loans considered unsecured?
students can't be required to make interest payments until they graduate.
the government doesn't provide insurance for student loans.
lenders don't have any collateral to seize if the loan doesn't get paid back.
banks can't make a high profit on eludent loans because of the low interest rates.
