The role of an administrative assistant comprises a boundless deal of multitasking. Administrative assistants complete clerical duties practically in every industry. Similar to those in the legal industry, some administrative assistants are probably more specialized than others. Most of the administrative assistant tasks are handling and distributing information within an office. This normally includes taking memos, keeping files, and answering phones. Administrative assistants may also be in control of greeting clients and customers as well as sending and receiving correspondence. Administrative assistants in some offices may be in charged with checking and keeping track of expenses. Administrative assistants may also support other office members with documentation.
